(12" x 12") To force me to paint 'quicker' I've taken on the monthly challenge at http://paintingchallenge.wordpress.com this month the challenge was to paint a creek and reflections from a photo. I had an hour this morning to do it so here it is! I will most likely be painting over this one, but all good practice!

Fishing boats in Looe

This is by far the biggest painting I've done (20" x 30") and I'm pleased with the result. I think I should stick to boats and avoid cars....

Lets start the ball rolling....

So here we are, my first oil painting. Well, the first I'm willing to publish. I started this at the Gold Coast Art School where I learned my basics. The copper pot is a wee bit wonky and the lemon is super shiny, but it is a nice still life to start on.
